About the role
CIMIC Group’s UGL has been awarded the operation and maintenance of rail infrastructure for the Country Regional Network (CRN) in NSW. UGL also delivers numerous rail projects, including the prestigious Gippsland Line Upgrade project (as part of RPV led Alliance) in Victoria, as well as several signalling upgrade and level crossing removal projects. In addition, UGL delivers numerous train control systems (TCS) upgrade projects across the country with UGL’s technology products. We are also leading partners on Sydney Metro and Cross River Rail projects.
Our Melbourne based Infrastructure & Technology division has a number of permanent Signalling roles at all levels of proficiency to work on the ever-growing portfolio of Victorian and interstate projects.
You will be joining a dynamic and agile team led by a newly appointed Engineering manager who is passionate about mentoring and your career development. This team takes on challenges, making a significant impact on signalling project delivery, while learning from a number of well-respected and highly skilled people in our industry.

About You
We want to engage proactive, passionate individuals with a genuine desire to learn and provide a quality service. You will enjoy working on projects of all sizes with the ability to work autonomously.
Your qualifications and experience must allow you to obtain registered professional engineer certification through Engineers Australia in line with the State regulations implemented in VIC, NSW & QLD.
You must have Victorian or interstate RIW competency and the following level of experience:
Level 1 Engineer – 3 to 5 years’ experience
Level 2 Engineer – Up to 10 years’ experience
Level 3 Engineer – Up to 15 years’ experience
